(T1-4) – [Crossfire x Paint The Town Red] TET 32"” 5" M” SEv, 4 Branches, 24 Buds. Captain of the guard is a slightly dark red featuring ruffles and a green throat in addition to excellent height and bud count. This cultivar was chosen over several reselects from 86 seedlings because of its performance. In my experience, red daylilies are nearly as difficult to improve upon as black daylilies, but this one is superb! Fertile both ways. SOLD OUT

(N29-1) [Elizabeth Salter x Splendid Touch] TET 23”" 5.75" MRe” Sev Fra, 3 branches, 15 buds. This flower’s deep pink color and light yellow edge demand attention, but its gorgeous ruffling really sets it apart. Captive Heart is a full sibling to Love Comes Softly (2005 Introduction), but the color tones are about as far apart as two pinks can be. As a first year seedling, it bloomed double, but only an occasional bloom will double now. One thing is for sure…this is one pretty flower, and the warmer it gets, the better it is. Good rebloom. Pollen fertile only. SOLD OUT

Caribbean Seashells (Q23-1) Splendid Touch x Taos, 29” M 6” Tet DORMANT Re, 12 buds. Caribbean Seashells is a coral peach pink with a rose watermark. It displays perfect blooms nearly every time that are round, ruffled and flat. The real emphasis on this beauty, however, is REBLOOM! Don’t let low bud-count turn you off because Caribbean Seashells can have two or three sets of scapes in a normal season. Fertile both ways. SOLD OUT

Carolina Blue Moon (W56-1) [Violet Tranquility x Precious Candy] Tet 24” 5.25” Dor EM, 3 Branches, 18 Buds, Rebloom. Carolina Blue Moon has orchid pink petals and a slate blue eye edged in dark purple. It has a triple edge of slate blue, purple and cream. The throat is vivid green, yellow and cream. While I might have liked to see the scape slightly taller, the flower is simply beautiful. I also love that this beauty is DORMANT. Easily fertile both ways.

(Y88-2) [Forrestlake Ragamuffin x Piranah Attack] Tet 29” 6” Dor M, 4 Branches & 22 Buds. Combining gene pools from Southern and Northern varieties gave me the best of both in Celestial Band Wagon. The flower has rose pink petals with a cream stripe in the center and a red flush at the top of the throat. Sepals have a lighter flush. The heavy toothy edge is gold in color and the plant has excellent overall plant habit. Dormant and Fertile both ways. DF $30

(Y86-1) [Baby Baracuda x Venus Flytrap] Tet 38” 5.5” Dor M, 6-7 Branches & 30+ buds. This cultivar is named for my friend and fellow hybridizer, Cindy Dye. She saw it in my home garden during its first bloom season and was quite taken with it. It is a dark purple self with gold teeth, and it has terrific branching with 4-5 laterals in perfect symmetry. This cultivar has wonderful plant habit and won “Best Seedling” at the 2012 Piedmont Daylily Club show. Easily fertile both ways and always a plus, it is Dormant. DF $40

(W43-1) – [(Highland Lord x Victoria’s Secret) x Celestial Red Hots] TET 27”" 6"” M SEv, Rebloom, 3 Branches, 18 Buds. Celestial Crown Jewels is another beautifully colored double. The petal base color is rose-red which blends to pink on the edges. Sometimes, the pink is a border, but more often it blends. Very distinctive and different color combination and a true knockout in a clump. 90% double and fertile both ways. DF $20

(T65-1) [Fires Within x Double Delicious Dandy] TET 27"” 6”" M Dor, 3 Branches & 15 Buds, 99% Double. Celestial Hot Shot is a HOT red with yellow edges. Some petals display a yellow stripe. Early season blooms are hose-in-hose while later blooms are petaloid giving this beauty a wide range of looks. This is truly a hot combination! Celestial Hot Shot is a good grower but is slow to multiply. DF $30

(Z1-1) [Head of the Class x Oda] TET 26" 5.5" E Ev, 3 Branches & 15 Buds. 99% Double. Celestial Party Dress has generated more interest and comments than any double seedling lately. It is a very ruffled and frilly deep orange with a red influence from the heart of the flower. It is edged in yellow. This one will be a leader into the new generation of doubles. Supply is limited and this will likely sell out quickly. Fertile both ways. DF $50

(U13-1) – [Firecracker Finale x Kings Point] TET 24”" 5.5"” EM SEv, 3 Branches, 18 Buds. This beautiful double is just as bright as the familiar Red Hots candy and sports a narrow gold edge on both its petals and petaloids. This is the first (and likely not the last) introduction out of Firecracker Finale (2007). You simply cannot pass this RED HOT double by! 99% double and fertile both ways. DF $25

(T87-2) [Donna’s Prayer x Shores of Time] TET 27"” 6" EM” Dor Re Fra, 4 branches, 20 to 24 buds. Every year, there are two or three crosses that stand out. This cross was pure DY-NO-MITE! Aside from Celestial Showboat, I saved three other seedlings from the cross that are currently under evaluation. This one needs no further evaluation and truly has it all...beauty, bud-count, and excellent growth. The color is lavender with a wide double border of purple and yellow gold. Simply Sensational! Fertile both ways. SOLD OUT

(W62-2) [Wild and Wonderful x Julie Newmar] TET 36"” 8" M” Dor, 4 Branches, 22 Buds. With its tendency to produce cascading sepals, Celestial Starburst was almost introduced as an unusual form, but it was not quiet consistent enough to meet the definition. The flower is a light pure yellow with a large purple eye highlighted by a very green throat. It is a gorgeous flower with great plant habit. Fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT

(D578-3) [HIGHRISE AT NIGHT X BLACK PANTHER] TET 43" 9" M Dor Rebloom, 4 branches 20 buds. This wonderful daylily won BEST SEEDLING at the Piedmont Daylily Club show in 2017. It is a deep red purple with extra-large flowers that you will absolutely love. Aggressive plant growth and great plant habit are hallmarks of this introduction. I already have several reselect seedlings under evaluation from this beauty. Easily fertile both ways. DF $60

(X18-2) [Countdown to Liftoff x Celestial Red Hots] TET 28"” 6"” EM SEv, 3 Branches & 15 Buds. 99% Double. I am always looking for a different color to expand the palette of the garden and Chocoholic Frolic certainly delivers. I would describe it as a chocolate bronze flower with gold edgings growing on strong, vigorous plants. If you are looking for something different to add to your doubles collection, you can’t go wrong with Chocoholic Frolic. Special thanks to Judy Davisson and Kenneth Wilkie for inspiration on the name. Easily fertile both ways. SOLD OUT

(U6-1) – [Outer Fringes x Jerry Pate Williams] TET 28”" 5.5"” M Ev, 4-5 Branches, 20-24 Buds. Classic Showcase is an apricot orange whose color is most intense at the center of the flower above its yellow-green throat. While its color is certainly appealing, I introduced Classic Showcase for its wonderful scape and plant habit. It is taller than most of my doubles and produces excellent show scapes. Fertile both ways and near 100% double. SOLD OUT

(V83-4) [Wild and Wonderful x Velvet Ribbons] TET 38”" 9"” EM Ev, 3 Branches, 18 Buds, UF Crispate/Cascade. Corkscrew Mania is one great flower doing a little bit of everything…twisting and curling, curling and twisting and did I mention corkscrew curls! The flower is burgundy with a touch of orange and has a darker eye. This has been a favorite of garden visitors and it is one of my favorites for 2014. Fertile both ways, but it takes a bit of persistence. DF $25

(Q5-1) [Taos x Great White]  TET 29"” 6"” M Sev, 3-4 branches, 20 buds. This is a flower that truly lives up to its name. The smoky pink petals contrast nicely with the lighter sepals, and the ½ inch piecrust ruffles really complete the picture. The iris world would call the color a blue pink, but it is really not blue. In any case, Cover Story is both different and beautiful. When making the cross, I was aiming for a white or cream. What I got was far more interesting. I can’t wait to see which way the seedlings go! Fertile both ways. SOLD OUT

(W64-1) [Wild Horses x Peacock Feathers] TET 33"” 7" M” SEv, 5 Branches & 30 Buds. There is no doubt that I am “Crazy In Love” with this one! She has pink petals with a touch of lavender and a knock-out dark purple eye. This is one of those that catches your eye from across the garden and forces you to investigate. With its branching and stunning beauty, Crazy In Love should be an excellent show flower as well. Fertile both ways. DF $40
