2021 Introductions

Seedling C433-1 [Memories of Ann x Dorothy and Toto] TET 26"” 5.5"” EM Ev Rebloom, 4 Branches, 20 Buds, 95% Double. I have waited many years for that one special daylily to come along that would be worthy of bearing the name of my late wife. She was such a special lady and I was fortunate to have had her in my life for so many years. This daylily is simply beautiful and has exceptional plant habit. The flower is hot pink with light pink borders which is fitting as pink was Ann’s favorite color. Ann Stadler is also a heavy rebloomer with the border becoming wider and lighter due to the hot weather. Because this has been so popular among garden visitors and because of limited quantities, I anticipate this introduction will be in short supply for at least the next two years. Seedling D500-2 [Volcanic Fury x Top of the Line] TET 33"” 5.5"” EM Dormant, 2 Branches, 12 Buds, 99% Double. Hawaiian Smoothie has absolutely stunning color that is almost indescribable. I am not sure whether to call it a red, orange, pink, salmon or the perfect blend of the four. The color is so pure, a true self, and looks good enough to eat! While the picture is beautiful, this in one that can only be fully appreciated in the garden. In addition, I have never seen a single bloom on this very consistent double. Fertile both ways. DF $100

Seedling C435-1 [Black Fury x Midnight in Burgess] TET 29"” 5.5"” M Dormant, 3 Branches, 18 Buds. Midnight Fury is the product of crossing the two “blackest” daylilies I have ever seen. I have worked at hybridizing black daylilies for close to 30 years and still have only a few that I would actually call black. This is now part of that list and would be an excellent plant for anyone interested in this color class. Fertile both ways. DF $100

Seedling D531-2 [Heart Music x Curt’s Gift] TET 39”" 7”" M Dormant M UF, 4 Branches, 22 Buds. Paris Secrets is a complex unusual form cascade. The color is orchid pink with a cream watermark that extends out on to the petals making it look like a border. To top things off, the flower has a cream lacy border that almost looks toothy. Hybridizers can certainly go multiple ways with this one. Fertile both ways. DF $75

Seedling D575-5 [Doctor Handsome x Line of Fire] TET 40"” 8.5"” M Dormant UF, 4 Branches, 24 Buds. Combining Gossard and Davisson oranges proved hugely successful in this gorgeous unusual form crispate. Sahara Sunrise takes some of its parents best attributes but manages to have a personality all its own. The color is orange with a huge yellow watermark. What sets it apart is its tendency to quill (especially in hot weather) and its flawless plant habit. Fertile both ways. DF $75

Seedling E612-1 [Divas in Diamonds x Princess Syndrome] TET 32"” 8"” EM Dormant UF, 3 Branches, 18 Buds. From its first bloom, Star Voyager has been a wonderfully beautiful and different daylily. It is an unusual form crispate and the consistent quilling adds more to its intrigue. The color is cream white with purple borders. If you are hybridizing and working on borders, I recommend getting these genes into your lines. Easily fertile both ways. DF $90
